I know of a few peeps on the Illinois Thread that keep, and kept quail alongside chickens. None were dying. I guess they have healthy chickens... Their quail are in cages in same coops. One also keeps some turkey poults as well as a few ducks.
If someone has a certified disease tested flock its probably not a concern.
I don't know if Cleo weighs enough to be classed as jumbo but I think she comes from a large meat bird line. She is heavier than Olive. But i don't have a scale.
