I don't know for tumblers, but I always do day 7-8. It's not hard, so don't worry! I'm sure you have seen how to do it, right? So tomorrow I think is considered five days old for the baby (dunno if I should count this like setting eggs or not, haha) which means I probably want to take a stab at banding it.
You can do it for practice and don't be surprised if it comes off. I find day six works good for me usually. Of course your baby is a singleton and 'very well fed' as you say, so developmentally he may be the size of a day 6 or 7! I would do it,now,,,, especially since you are using 7mm. I know that the bones are supposed to be flexible, and wont break Like BP said,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, BUT ,, I was never comfortable doing it and wondering if I hurt the foot.So tomorrow I think is considered five days old for the baby (dunno if I should count this like setting eggs or not, haha) which means I probably want to take a stab at banding it.
