Please help! Why does some of the insides of my duck’s claws look like this? Is it normal?

Why do you think they belong outside? They can be indoor or outdoor pets just like a dog or cat. They dont "belong" anywhere specific.

Because they cannot be potty trained like a cat or dog. It's the same reason you wouldn't keep a goat indoors

Actually ducks, goats, chickens, etc can be potty trained but many people think they cant or dont want to go through the effort. They also sell diapers for ducks and chickens

Is it possible for you to get a picture that is not so zoomed in, like a picture of the top and bottom of the whole foot? It does look like dirt under the nail to me.
