Spice mix is because I thought it to be doughy crop. Thinking it's just dried food now that it loostens a lot if I withold feeding and get her to drink first and wait a bit. I just switched to a feed with more protein and she's giving me yellow diarrhea. Ive seen her shove her face in the dirt but maybe she needs more grit? Can I hand feed her grit if she eats some out of my hand? Will she know to stop when it's enough?
Spice mix won't do much for doughy crop, do you think you could train her to use a nipple waterer with only half a beak? The diarrhea could be from the new feed, the mix or a pre existing condition.

No, it was cut by somebody all the way back that half of her nose is gone. She uses the bottom beak as a scoop. The little yellow diarrhea is definitely from the feed because I switched her off of it to a different kind, but that other kind didn't have enough calcium or protein, and my other chicken started laying shelless eggs. So I switched it back and they both like it wayy better, but here comes the occasional yellow poop. The second food started giving her diarrhea in a different manner, she with fart and shoot out loads of regular poop that is liquidy. This hasn't stopped yet but I'm hoping it will. I gave the spice mix only once yesterday to help the crop contents pass but she doesn't seem to need it.

I'm sorry, I have no advice or knowledge but i just cannot believe what you describe about her beak. What is *wrong* with people? I just can't even.... I have a sick chicken and am grossed out reading about the real diseases and injuries. But this is just way worse.....
