Hey there! We recently had a hawk take one of our ducks so now I need to isolate them to an area on our property without them being in a stuffy small pen. Any advice and photos are greatly appreciated!!!

Looking at your pen with those wide openings in the fencing makes me think sooner or later your going to have a raccoon reach inside and try to pull one or both of your ducks through and pull the head right off. I'd get hard ware cloth and at least go up 2' from the ground all the way around. And you opening at the gate is large enough for something to squeeze through. I like the gazebo just needs a bit of tweaking for it to be predator safe. We have a member lose 2 of his ducks with a set up like yours. Raccoons are awful. @Tevyes Dad can explain since it was his ducks. Then about every other day I move it around so they have fresh grass
Is the bathtub their pool? How do they get in there?I have a 10’ X 10’ Kennel I have wrapped with tarp.

Next will come a run that attaches to the shed next door. I will cover the run with chicken wire.

Finally, in the spring I will make a larger pond for them near the run. I’m hoping the kennel with the dog house is warm enough for them throughout the winter. I will be adding more flooring soon. This entire setup is in a fenced yard. They will roam free most days with a Border Collie to watch them. Then at night, she will herd them into the house.
