Hot tub didn't make it yesterday. Had a leak,they took it back to work on it. So that won't be an issue right away. boot her tail out to the curb... and while blood is thicker than water, if your son loves her THAT much to put up with her antics and the way she treats his mother and family.. he can go right out the door with her. My kid would never be allowed to talk to me that way or have thier girlfriend/boyfriend/friend talk to me that way.. they'd get a foot up the backside and the door hitting them where the good Lord split them REALLY FAST!

eta: I have Mitral Valve Prolapse and it has nothing to do with getting in a freaking hot tub!! If anything she should stay OUT of the hottub due to bacteria issues in case she has a cut anywhere on her body; that could affect her MVP (heart issue) by giving her an infection.

Sounds to me like she needs to learn what MVP is.

Wow, is it really worth losing your son and grandchildren over. Why are you wasting so much time punishing her?? Why not spend some time with her in the tub. Find out why she's where she's at...Maybe she's depressed.

My husband hasn't spoke to his mother in over a year and never plans to again. So you want this to be you over a stinking hot tub???

Save your energy and just relax and things will change.

If there are children living in your house and their mother is not OBSESSIVE over knowing where they are, you must keep that hot tub locked. Small children are incredibly attracted to water and can easily drown, even in a hot tub. For my own peace of mind I would keep the tub covered and locked except when I was in it.
(And hey, that takes the fighting out of the equation. It's not about the DIL. It's about the safety of the kids.)

NO, you are not being mean. Your DIL sounds like a childish, self-absorbed, brat. If it were me in your shoes, her behind would have been put out of my house a long time ago. If my son didn't like it, then he could follow. Paying $400 a month for maid, laundry, and chef service is a bargain and they are taking advantage of you and the situation. If they are old enough to be married, they're old enough to act as responsible adults should.

I just dont get it. Why do people think that IF they pay 400 bucks a month to line in YOUR house, that they dont have to help cook and clean. That just does not go with me. Ok lets say you are living in YOUR OWN house that you pay rent/mortgage you DONT have to cook or clean?????????????

Had my daughter and her BF here said the same thing. I pay rent I dont have to clean. Ok here is the deal, you dont want to clean you only pay me 250 a month including food. Ok I got a deal for you. You pay me 1500 a month and I will even clean you tush as I did when you were a baby. Moved out with in 2 weeks.
