In the Brooder
So in our flock of 16, we have a hen that is about five months old. All the chickens started laying eggs in the last two weeks. On Sunday we noticed this hen sitting on the floor of the coop and starting to waddle. We isolated her in a cage with her own food and water. She appeared egg-bound and later in the evening we found a yolk in the cage.
Previous to the yolk her poop was normal and hard. Since then (it is Tuesday) she has remained in the same state, except she hasn't laid anything and her poop is runny and green. She still waddles and since Sunday she has not stood up straight. Recently we noticed how she has to use her beak to waddle around and has a very poor sense of balance. She eats and drinks normally.
We have given her two warm baths since Sunday.
Any thoughts? Is she egg-bound? Is there anything else we can do?
