That's about the size I want build without that much height. I hear you about winter... I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and our winter has been about the same as yours. Considering you're in Mass. our winter weather usually comes from your direction so I know how you feel about winter ! I'm beyond ready for Spring !

Just spruced up my coop for 'Tour of homes' weekend here in the city...think it turned out quite nice...the girls seem to love their new lawn...

I am almost done! Its12x20 and it is for my free range RSL. All I have left to finish is a little siding work, wire the underside of the rafters, paint and get a load of top soil to go over the wire apron! Front Side Inside roosts

These are some awesome beautiful coops. I love those that purpose materials as well. Maybe I'll look at going that route as well.
