A very Dear friend of mine is having a really rough day today. She lost her beloved Stallion today, before the vet could get there. She rescued this horse from a bad situation several years ago, her husband loved this horse and she did too. Monday will be exactly 1 year since her husband passed away suddenly. She is a complete mess, says she feels like she let Joey (horse) down and also let her daughter down (they bought a mare they were going to breed to him to get the daughter a horse. She also feels like she let John (her husband) down.
I did what I could from here, but I am over 3 hours away, I felt helpless, I had the drugs to help and possibly had I been there to see, would have suggested the vet get there sooner.
