~Pro's And Con's Of Feathered Feet~

What are some Pro/Cons of feathered feet breeds? Let's make this a bit of a chat!
That’s exactly why I don’t have any chickens that have feathered feet! Chickens always seem to step in their poop! I just thought that the poop would get stuck on the feathers and not come off very easily, so no feather footed chickies for me!

I know myself that feathered feet are pron for getting soiled very quickly witch has turned me off slightly. Yet there are so many great FF breeds.

What do peeps think?

Interesting about the winter con, of my mixed ladies (all supposedly part Giant Cochin) only Fudge has leg feathers of any quantity and they only go down the outer side, like the stripe down the side of tuxedo pants.... I will watch to see if she collects snow in those feathers, since we had about 6" of the white fluffy stuff overnight. Oh, they all complained bitterly this morning when I let them out !!!

I know the focus is supposed to be on Pants, but HeiHei steals the day! He is ADORABLE. And clean-footed.

HeiHei does steal the show. He's the cutest little thing ever! Whenever I take pics, he's photo bombing them. Such a character and he's only been living here for 3 days.
