Hello! This is my 3 week old Self Blue d'Uccle Storm! I don't see much on line about the Self Blues so I was hoping someone here knows a little bit about sexing this cutie T

Please post pics of its comb at six weeks for gender. It's a little young right ow.

Cockerel. See the thickening of the comb? It is young yes but this is a sign. Next it will get deeper in color until it turns red.

3 weeks is generally plenty when it comes to spotting d'Uccle cockerels. You have a handsome little man.

I bet he's going to be gorgeous! Do you have any experience with d'Uccle r oos? What kind of temperament do they have. Storm is pretty sweet right now...

Mine was sweet until the hormones kicked in. Hopefully he stays nice.

Without a doubt! I've raised two d'Uccle cockerels so far, both of which are no longer a part of my flock due to their bad attitudes. One started out excessively affectionate, but later on, "roosterhood" kicked in. No need to fear yet, though, I know of some well-behaved d'Uccle boys.
