Pullet gasping for air! Please help!!

Agreed! I'd definitely treat them all. Chances are some of the others will start showing symptoms soon.

An ounce of prevention is with a pound of cure!

Its best that you treat your whole flock for coccidosis. You are going to use 1.5 tsp of corid powder, add it to 1 gallon of water, make a new batch every day for 5-7 days. Make the corid water the only water they have access to. Your also going to want to give the 1ML injection of Tylan twice a day to your sickly bird.

She has passed away. She had convulsions and died very shortly after. I am heartbroken and wish I could have acted sooner. Thanks for your help, I will know what to do next time.

I'm so sorry! I saw your other post yesterday, but didn't think you were dealing with cocci. When my birds had coccidosis, I seen bloody stool and sleepy, lethargic birds, but their breathing was fine. And you might not have been. Just in case, I would go ahead and treat your flock with the Corid water for 5 days.

Is she showing respiratory distress or cocci signs?

For cocci... with my smaller birds (5 weeks or younger) I give about half that dose.

I've had very good results with it and usually see improvement within the next couple days.

I do have one tiny pullet that is showing symptoms. Is this recipe okay to give to her, even though she's so little?
