We used to breed cocker spaniels when i was a teenager!
We were very choosey with new owners too.
We kept our pups for 8 weeks, I love it when they can get out onto the grass and play with us.

I read that was first signs of labor. I kept her out all day yesterday and went out to check on her about every 45 minutes. She looked good so I felt comfortable leaving her out to run and play while she could. This am I went out before sunrise to let her out and she was happy to see me. She was out about 30 minutes before I noticed her digging and licking. I put her back in the "birthing center" where she is warm and has food and water. The BC is a shed my husband built off of our well house. He concreted it for easy clean up. It has a perfect little nook elevated a few inches that it like 3 times as big as her so she feels very secure and shelted and comfy to have those babies. It is all enclosed and covered, two sides are horse panels for the fence, and her run area is like 10X10 just a perfect area for her. Come on puppies...... maybe within 24 hours now. Will keep you posted. I'm so excited.
