Pyxis inspired me and I'm attempting Emu eggs!

I don't have them yet, they come the second week in april. As soon as they arrive I will post some pics.

Looking forward to seeing them!

Oh me too! I live in NY and there is a great feed company in VT called Poulin Grain. They make feed for all species including ratites and I always fed their feed to my horses and goats. I am lucky enough to have a feed store near me that carries poulin so I ordered two bags today of the ratite feed. Now to figure out a temporary baby pen.

The lady is shipping them to me. She is in McClure, PA.

Through the mail? Most breeders won't do that because they are just SO prone to leg issues that shipping is asking for trouble. Plus, since they aren't poultry, they technically aren't even allowed to be shipped because they are not an approved animal that USPS allows.

Yep, she is shipping them. Has been doing it for 20 years. She's waiting til they are two weeks so they are stronger on their legs. There are actually a lot of farms I found that will ship. There is a guy that ships rhea in Ohio. They have their NPIP and are approved to do it so I dunno.
