Hey everyone! I noticed that one of my chics was squinting one eye and leaving the other open. Any ideas on what is going on? He is the only one. ill try to take a picture.

It might just be gummed up. If it doesn't open up in a few hours, then you might start to worry.

Ok thank you. He does open it he just prefers to squint with it for some reason.

I would start with a gentle saline rinse. If there's something in there irritating the eye, that should wash it out. At the least, you'll be able to get a good look and maybe see what's going on with the eye.

Could be Mycoplasma....not real certain of it....do you have chickens also?

@007Sean No I don't have chickens. I have ducks but I don't think they could cause it.

Mycoplasma can be transferred vertically via the egg. Just a thought, try irrigating the eye with a saline solution, if it doesn't get better, than a vet visit might need to be in order.
I would also separate it from the rest, as mycoplasma is contagious!
