From what I've picked up, chickens all have coccidiosis in their systems and gain resistance to the local strains. But when their body gets overloaded with it and bloody stuff starts coming out it's time to give them some help. Glad you had the Corid on hand and ready.

I'm pretty sure all the chicks I got this year were vaccinated for it, and I've tried to get them gently exposed while they're young. I gave them dirt from the yard, and put them on woodchips from the garden early on to try and strengthen their immune systems.

Chicks can get
In and out to feed but the hens can’t.
The broody mean hen has decided she didn’t like being put in a cage for attacking the chicks. Now she is trying to boss them / mother them and they won’t listen to her, they are afraid of her 🤣 gee silly hen , you are 3 1/2 week late on this.

Very interesting day, I have let the mamma want to be, learn to babysit. I have watched her herd them try and leave them food and now, :lau The biggest rooster chick and her had a stare down.
nose to nose nether one moved, he stood tall and dared her.
she, as gentile as she could pecked / preened a couple times, but he stood his ground.
I think the chicks are figuring out what it is she wants and are slowly and cautiously communicating. I of cores didnt have my cell to snap a pic, :th
