Oh! Wow! Really? In USofA? They look like they are doing really well. You know to cut back after flowering, don't you? Where the flower has been, or they can grow really scraggy. I am super impressed. I have never, ever, seen this grown outside of Oz. If asked, I'd've said it couldn't. And you have heaps of them! Does your nursery specialise or something?

And no, I did not know to trim them.. again.. put and leave
But please tell me all I need to know! Thanks!
lol You can *put & leave* but many bottlebrush do this weird thing where the new growth happens beyond the flower & when the flower drops off you're left with bare stem & the plant gets really scraggy. If you prune the flush of new growth will be where the old leaves are & your shrub will get nice & bushy. These & grevillias are high honey producers. The bees & all our native birds love them & come in droves when they are in flower. And be careful about fertilizer ~ if you use it. There's one been produced specifically for our natives as they don't like certain things in regular fertilizer. Our soils are nutrient poor & that's what our native plants are used to. They die if you give them the good stuff. :D Other than that they are really hardy, don't need heaps of water, are pretty drought resistant & bloom profusely.

It's official; I have resorted to chocolate & coffee but I have one coat on! I about died when I opened the tins. No doubt about it, the wall colour looked blue ~ & not a shy retiring blue either. It's ok. It is drying more green:rolleyes:. Six hours straight it took me & I'm done.. So sore & tired! The girls had better appreciate this!;)

Looks amazing! I always kind of worry a bit as I’m painting too... it never looks right until it dries, and you think did they make some mistake when they mixed it? Was the lighting in the store that different?

I love how bright and vibrant it looks. Everything is possible, through the magical powers of chocolate and coffee!
