Just popping in to let everyone know, we had Stella put to sleep today. She was having trouble breathing and was getting distressed.

I have one very, very angry little pinecone wanting to know why she's been kicked off her nest & denied access to the coop.
I now have 1/2 my ladies inside the coop screaming because they are considering laying & 1/2 outside screaming because they can't get in. ​

Oh, yes, she's very pretty. She's now in a cage on her own. She totally pinged of Soda who was mad enough to go for her & that is such an unequal war I've taken her right away.

That's ok. Mine's about 10 yrs old from when Marlow 1st arrived here. He cried whenever I was out of his sight & it took him a long while to mature.
