I don’t know if I had mentioned on here that I was building an outdoor bird cage for the parakeets...
I would’ve liked it to fit through a doorway... thought of that a little too late.. @Kris5902 View attachment 1893540View attachment 1893541
Reminds me of a story of my late Uncle Ken. Who I often reminded my mother of a little too much back in my early 20’s... he was involved with all the wrong sorts and, after a few jail stints, was in a awful motorcycle accident about 5 years before I was born.
I grew up in a 12 suite 3 floor walk up from the early ‘60’s and I didn’t live in 3 of the suites over my first 18 years of existence. My grandmother and uncle lived in the same building in suite #4 on the second story. His knee was completely wrecked in the accident (he was broadsided at a 3 way intersection while stopped well back and waiting for right of way) and over the many months of physio and rehab he decided to kill the time by rebuilding his motorcycle.
In the apartment of course, as he couldn’t leave it. All was well, and he annoyed his mother to no ends with the “carburetor in the bath tub” and all sorts of other challenges. The best though, was when he finally finished it and was walking again... it was too wide to fit down the stairs, nevermind the weight! So half apart she came again and with the help of 4 friends the Harley Davidson custom Softail finally made it back to the outside!
Love your recipe Kris!
I feel like we should make a thread of Chook Cook Book ideas for what to feed our ladies under all the circumstances!
Or does one already exist?
You only love it because you haven’t smelled it yet!
