I'm so grateful for that one wet day. You'll get one soon I hopeThe rain has been taunting us here. We have been getting basically a light misting in the morning for the last couple of days. Barely enough to dampen the leaves on the trees.
It feels like the weather is saying " Seee this? Well you can't have it!"
Still soft shells. I need to get to the produce store. Luna's laid one or two soft ones as well but she has been quite heat stressed. I've noticed when they go to roost she is spreading her wings & panting ~ & my coop gets a breeze & is quite airy. Last night I had 3 like that & no breeze ~ all my bigger girls. My BRs are in Broody jail! How's little Lottie getting on? Has she laid an egg lately?

We were potting up stags this morning so I let Ha'penny out. This is what we were subjected to; the distress is real:
She had 4 or 5 goes @ hopping the fence to head for her nesting spot. When she finally made it she was circling round until she realised I wasn't going to round her up. She shot towards it, then came to a crashing halt & gave me the dirtiest look over her shoulder as she realised every single egg she's so lovingly stashed had vanished! She spent a few minutes there but as it obviously wasn't the same she hopped back over the fence & went to lay in a nesting box. I've yet to check as the rain is now raining!
