Moot point as it surprised the girl & managed to slither away before anyone gathered their wits.
I'm not surprised. Browns are just plain nasty. I'm glad Kirby never found it. He's a chronic hunter.
Unfortunately for her I had got the hose to fill the water containers & a hose is an excellent chicken herder ~ on fine spray. She was most put out with me & hopped back into the run! I went inside. Five minutes later I check out a window because that girl has a bee in her bonnet this morning. Yep, digging up my passionfruit. I appeared on the verandah & she promptly shot back over the fence! Looks like being one of those days... Once my layers are done she just may fine herself in coop confinement. I think she's peeved I found her hidden nest & removed the egg...
I still reckon they should be left alone though. Or relocated if necessary.
Another monkey in a chicken costumeSo I let my girls out this morning. There were 4 already on nests & one waiting on her preferred habitation so only 4 shot out the gate. Ha'penny immediately hopped on the small coop roof & over the fence! She stood there waiting, as if to say, so what are you going to do about it, hey? What I did is, I picked her straight back up & popped her back where she belongs. She promptly did it again.

I leave most things alone. I remember one day I had one of the lads home sick & a strange snake crawled out of a gap in the woodwork & began slithering across the floor. We both climbed on the kitchen bench & watched it until it disappeared in another gap in the wall.
Mostly they aren't aggressive unless you meddle with them ~ though browns aren't trustworthy & exceptionally aggressive. 
I'm off for the Christmas break finally. Time to relax for a bit
