She's a big girl but she doesn't look fat to me. Besides, she has a thing for *Bucket Boy* so she's got good taste, right?Fat Bird.

Sooo jealous (once again) of @Shadrach ! When I moved into my current place which needed a lot of work, I was trying to build one of those into the plans but I could never quite figure out where I could fit one in. Would love to bake bread in one of those. Here you go. Pardon the chicken feed. I keep it in there away from the rats.

Don't be jealous of me. It's not my bread oven.Sooo jealous (once again) of @Shadrach ! Probably not. She's a big girl but she doesn't look fat to me. Besides, she has a thing for *Bucket Boy* so she's got good taste, right?![]()
It takes at least a couple of weeks for the serious moulters here to return to normal Ribh.I had Lottie inside with me for a bit this morning: electrolyted water, goodies in her feed & a bit of warming up. When she hopped down to investigate the big coop it was time for her to rejoin the flock. She is resting a lot. I know molting chooks do this but it is so unlike her it is rather worrying.
Marlow was really put out.I'm his person & he does not like to share. He hopped up on the opposite chair arm, purring loudly, & my 2 critters eyeballed each other. Lottie showed no fear though she did keep a wary eye on my big fluff ball. Marlow was only interested in cuddles though I wouldn't trust him around moving feathers. The temptation might prove to be too great.
Way to rub the roof thing in! Lol! That’s true jealousy speaking... We are in full on corona virus panic, superiority struggles, and power plays here. Almost at the defection stage, but hanging in, barely.Don't be jealous of me. It's not my bread oven.
I just have my house and with it a very very small plot of land; oh I've got the roof as well.![]()
I know that place as well. I agree.I too love fall and spring. Here weather can get really wacky with really hot days, when it should be cool and really cold days, when it should be warm. One of the reasons I don't incubate prior to 4/15 is we've seen hard freezes during the first two weeks of April. I also have to be mindful of the foretasted high. We left here one morning it was 1C, we had a long trip to a lumber yard, when we got home it was 45C in the greenhouse and we had 7 dead birds.
I've traveled the world over and only found one place where temps were fairly constant year round @ 21C and what is better is that you can drive to your desired temp just depending on direction, but it's a place that I would NEVER live.
She's beautiful.Fat Bird.
