Ribh's D'Coopage

They'll be in a tree one evening at roost time.:D
Nooooooooooooooooooooo....😧 Her sister isn't quite so wild. And this girl lines up to eat from my hand! 🙄 I can't handle her though. They really are mad birds ~ from a chicken keeping POV. From a wild bird aspect, perfectly understandable. Unfortunately she is leading my bantam Wyandottes astray & they aren't half so wiley.

Tap. For a small hen she's got a set of lungs on her. She's hates being touched so I tease her by swatting her tail feathers. She's thinking about getting onto the table.:rant

Oh, gosh. That is a look that would concern me! Bring it on, Bro, is what she's saying!

No expectations, Shad. The sound quality is pretty awful actually because it was done on my old camera but it is about the only video I own of her singing.
If she owns any of herself singing you could ask for a copy as a belated Mother's Day present. 💜. (I'm afraid you are right about the recording, it doesn't do them justice)

I've spent so much of my life making or doing stuff that has to be right, or to some standard.
I've never considered myself at all artistic. My elder sister tells me I was when I was a kid but like much of the imagination one has as a child, life knocks it out unless you guard it well.
I've had a few people ask me to make or design things for them and they want something particular made to their imagination or concept. I tell them I can't do it these days and I mean can't, not won't. My house designs are an example. I do what I do and that's it.
Luckily some people like what I do but I could never make a living as a jobbing designer or artist.
House designs? Do tell!

Ribh, how are the bees going spreading to their new hive? When do you separate the hives?
I'm not sure, ACM. We were seeing plenty of activity [good, we think] then it turned cold & wet & the bees went pretty quiet. The man is trying to get a hinge on the new hive [what we went to see the bee man about last Tuesday] so we can see inside. I will post when we get that happening. We separate when they hatch a new queen. It's really the wrong time of year to be doing this I think but we were worried by the size & activity & didn't want the hive to swarm on its own.
