Ribh's D'Coopage

She seems to be doing ok. I put her in the small coop @ dusk last night as the ramp is quite steep & she settled right down but she made it down this morning before I got out to her & was foraging as best she could in the little coop but she is so light it's scary & she has no bulk to hold her own against my big girls ~ or even my bantams really.
I'm glad she's doing ok! Hopefully she will start to eat a little better for you! Have you tried giving her a mash to encourage her to eat! My hens love it, but I've given it to them since they were quite small!

I'm glad she doesn't have to compete for food.

For those who've never seen them, these flowers are Australian Christmas bells.
In their natural environment they only flower well after fire & I haven't seen them growing wild since I was a child.
They are being cultivated commercially so not extinct yet.

I've never seen Christmas Bells until now. Thank you! I've always wondered what they looked like.

Can anyone tell me what this is? Botany is not my strong suit. Is it lilac?

Yes it is! We had one like this in our yard! I think ours was called a Cotton Candy Lilac!

Edit! I stand corrected that was a different one, this one was called a
'Sensation' Lilac (Syringa vulgaris ‘Sensation’)

It looks like a variety of lilac to me. Right leaf and right kind of flower but more fancy than the usual lilac.
