Ribh's D'Coopage

And I came to the conclusion that if I ever end my chicken journey, we’ll have a nice sturdy garden shed.

So, Nyssa has stopped wheezing! :wee She’s got two more doses of her meds to go and she’s really fighting me. She’s still very light, I think she’s about a kilo lighter than she’s meant to me, but she’s been getting stuck into a breakfast of cooked cat mince, shredded cheese and sunflower seeds.

Coccidiosis treatment finished yesterday but it’s been raining again, so I’ll switch to preventative treatment, which is once every four days through the relevant period.

Penguin still seems feisty and chatty, she disciplined the baby floofs this morning! So I’m starting to feel more optimistic again.

I’m also thinking about investing in a pet poo composter and maybe selling manure compost on one of the Facebook market sites. I’m just not in a gardening headspace at the moment but if I can convert poo into cash, maybe I’ll be more excited about cleaning it up!
This all sounds wonderful. I'm so happy it's working out for the best. Good job taking care of them.

Sorry, MJ & everyone. I suddenly discovered I had an assignment due. :thThe joys of being numerically challenged. 🙄Dates & times really don't mean anything. Luckily it wasn't an essay so no citations needed & I had done notes for 2/3s of it but it was a shock just the same.

Portia is not a well girl but she is still with us. She is having trouble moving & I can't remember where we talked about sometimes an egg will pinch a nerve & cause temporary paralysis. I think it was @BY Bob's thread so no hope of finding it ever. She is also gurgling ~ which is new & worrying. I crated her last night & have wormed, & given her electrolytes as well as some antibiotics for the gurgle. She is not as bad this morning, her usual talkative self but not moving round much. No vet visits @ present. Car rego arrived so any spare money is accounted for before we start. We will see how we go. If she has a sudden relapse I will reassess but I am hopeful we are on top of it.

:fl :fl

Usually the pinched nerve occurs as the egg rotates in the wrong position. As long as it is not pinched too long they will quickly recover. Have you checked to see if she has an egg stuck?

No. I found her semi~paralytic & while I was checking her over she dropped a soft shelled egg. At present it is *wait & see*. She seems cheerful enough in herself, just not inclined to move around much.

I'm hopeful too :fl

And well done getting your essay out of your mind and onto paper. What was the argument?

We were looking @ a Time Team dig & basically just looking @ some general archaeological principles ~ so not an essay. They are coming up in publishing & editing & as I'm not sure I've understood much of the subject matter that could be interesting. 😂 It is also a different citation method that I have yet to come to grips with.

Nonetheless, well done :hugs

And Happy Caturday!
