@Claires Poultry
Do you grow any animal feed on your farm, or most is purchased, and grow only people food???
We don't grow wheat, corn, oats, hay, or anything like that, but we do feed the animals all of our table scraps and rotten produce. You know like all the extra stuff.
We still have to purchase most of our animal's feed, though.
Beautiful pictures. Love the ones of the produce and flower gardens, they are so pretty.
Thank you very much! :)

We harvested squash, honeydew melons, watermelons, cantaloupe, gourds, tomatoes, eggplant, and peppers today.
We have to get everything (except for the cole crops - cool weather crops that can survive a few light frosts) picked before sunset on Friday.
I also canned 10 more quarts of milk today and now I'm working on bread and butter pickles.

Guess what happens when you run out of space to put produce? You start putting stuff in unlikely places like squash on bookshelves or on your piano, for example. :lau

Here's a few extra pics just for fun.
This is pink celery. It's a new variety we're trying this year.

I just finished bringing in the last of the produce that won't survive a frost.
Now they've changed the forecast and there is a chance of frost tonight, so we had to finish picking today instead of tomorrow.
I wonder if it will really frost tonight. :confused:
You never know....... It's hard telling.
I guess we'll find out tomorrow. :)
