I don't see any hackle or saddle feathers, but it would be lot easier if you could give a side view.

I say Black Australorp pullet with the pic that you have for us to look at. How old is the bird?

at 24 weeks I am staying with my first guess a pullet. She should start soon.

I have 20+ week old Australorps and they still have small pink combs and wattles.

I would say she should start laying really soon. Are you sure something isn't getting the eggs?

They are a little bit older then yours and have only just started their lay.

She looks almost exactly like my BA. My girl has a bigger comb. I get lovely brown eggs.

And they're yummy!
