Why is it so important that he's a hen?
Could you just keep him around either way? Just don't expect many eggs out him.

Well that is faith! I've never heard of a rooster that didn't crow, however, it would not surprise me if there is one in existence. Would love for it to be yours....but in the meantime you might wanna think about what you are going to do when he starts crowing, at least plan ahead.....We're not allowed to have rooster where I live. But if he never crows, I just might be able to keep him![]()
Hens don't have pointy hackle and saddle feathers. Hens also don't get giant red combs at that age. Some roosters take a really long time to crow, but that doesn't mean he isn't a rooster.It's been 16 weeks and this guy still hasn't started crowing. All of my other roosters have crowed. Some have even been crowing for over a month. Are you sure he's a rooster?
