Semi-wild muscovy duck questions

Does that mean she is back with you? :fl
I got an email back from the guy who works with the county, he immediately approved me for 4 ducks instead of 3 so yes I went right back to the park to get her!! Introductions went very good with the other ducks and they seemed happy to see her, especially her sister Puffin. They just kind of did their thing all day today, when I put them in the coop at night I had to break out one of my rabbit cages and put penguin in it because she was being mean to new Pipsqueak, but I am sure after a few days of working out the pecking order they will all be one big family!!! My gf took videos of the reunion so once she sends them to me tomorrow I will post them here :)

My baby is back and she is truly just as sweet as she was before flying off a year ago ❤

I really think she is very happy to be back home. When I went to the park to get her I just picked her up and put her in my armpit and she didn't even resist at all while walking back to my car. She's been hanging out with Puffin all night catching up :)

I'm so happy you get to have her! She's amazingly sweet and tame! 💖🦆
Thank you, I am so happy about it too!!

Although I am just now realizing that back in November 2020 when I found Puffin, that was actually Pipsqueak, and the one that I found just now is actually Puffin. At least.... I'm pretty sure not positive.

Puffin used go go by simply Blackfoot because out of the original 5 I had, she was the only one with black feet. When I found her in November, the feet were dark so I assumed it was her, but now this duck that I just found has feet much darker than any of my other ducks so I am pretty sure I was mistaken and got them mixed up. I will still keep calling them what I have been calling them just for ease, just funny that the duck I've had for the past many months isn't who I thought she was.

@SolarDuck This is such a wonderful story. With all the video's it's almost like watching a duck drama show. lol

I can't believe how much they let you pet them, pick them up & all that. I have 1 out of 6 Muscovy's drakes that will let me pet him for few seconds to maybe a minute. Couple of the others will tolerate me stroking them once & that's about it. And one that refuses to allow me to touch him at all. I wish mine were bit more accepting of being petted. Maybe in time they'll become less afraid of my touch. I've really only had them at my house since July 31st so not very long.

I think I've been giving them treats to often because just about every time I open the back door they come running thinking I've got treat for them. lol

Your story is just so heartwarming. Thanks so much for the updates & hope you continue to do so.
