But you are over there in France where all of those French breed's started at, like the French Copper Marans and the Breese. I thought it would be easy for you to find some of those!

ok quick question, when I set the eggs and at 4 day check air cells all looked good on day 7, I have several that have their normal big end air cell but now looks like one long one on a side from end to end, does that mean the turned is not turning them properly and need to turn it off and manually turn them? Doing a dry incubation if that helps

I had some of my duck eggs do that this summer.... definitely weird to candle and find the air cell on the side.... I don't think mine was a turning issue as it happened either 2 eggs on opposite sides of the bator....???? I don't know for sure

I would mark them with an x on one side and an o on the other. Makes it easy to tell if they're turning or not. Depending on your turner it could take a while to see much change. Good luck!

I candled our eggs this morning. 2 I'm pretty sure aren't fertile, some I can tell are developing and many are too dark to see anything. I left them all in there. None smell or show any cracks.

By this time next week we'll be in lockdown.

Hermoine and her little fluff are super cute!! I'd love to try and give a few of my ordered eggs to a hen, but every time I think one of my girls is broody, she hops off a day or two later
Day six for the september random fun pack One ayam cemani appears infertile, one ac might be a blood ring, and two golden spitzhauben might be blood rings... but they might just be starting to develop? Not sure yet...
4 flower hens (those eggs are giant!), 4 barbezieux(spelling?), 4 cream legbar, 1 ayam cemani, and 1 golden spitzhauben for sures I'm real excited for the golden spitzhauben chick, they look soo cute in pictures !

What kind of egg is it? My Leghorn mixes & Bielefelders hatched from XL eggs and they were all huge.

Hello! I have some duck eggs due this month. Might as well join in the discussion. (I also had my very first Silverudd's Blue chicks hatch out a few days back; I've tried all summer to get her eggs to hatch and finally got a couple-to be fair, she is still a pullet).
