Set eggs 4/6, EDD 4/27 & 4/28...wanna hatch with me??

the grey stripes are silver americaun,and the all grey one is a showgirl cochin mix he has a naked neck and 5 toes good toe spacey and is a standard so must of have been my white showgirl roo with the blue cochin mix who carries a blue gene so cute I was really suprised to see that naked neck

yes it has a naked neck I was soo suprised I will try and upload the nn pix

I have no pips yet. I just candled and saw movement in MOST that made it to lockdown.
I was guessing it might be a 2 delayed hatching since my bator was off 2 separate days. I just hope they start tomorrow as I have to leave town Friday for 3 days.

Wanna know what happens when you do everything different than the directions?
When you have to turn the eggs by hand and only do it twice a day?
When you have possible temp spikes but aren't sure?

When you put in 39 eggs?

You get a hatching frenzy!

I've had to open up the bater twice to take out chicks because there just wasn't any room!

They started hatching on Tuesday, day 20, right away in the morning. They are still hatching. 2 popped out while I was gone for an hour this morning and there are more pipping!

As of right now I have 21! EEEK!

I still got that one cute little pip. I also went down stairs to check on my broody, and peeked at her eggs, theres no pips but I heard peeping in one and the other I could hear it in the moving around.

I thought she could tell if one was bad??? she booted one out a couple days back and I stuffed it back under her. Thats the one I can hear peeping in. I think what happened is she didn't see it when she got back on the nest and didn't stuff it under her. I'm gonna go look at the eggs again

come on its gotta look cute with my butt up in the air and my face plastered to the 'bator!
