kristie I set eggs on the 9th @ 3:30pm so MY day 21 starts at 3:30 this afternoon. my temps ran 97-100 I thought they would hatch sometime Friday night

my broody has a pip now too and I got another one in the 'bator!!!! YAY!

I had a pip in an EE egg a bit earlier this afternoon......but its on the wrong end. wonder if it will be ok????

I left shortly after, havent been home since. Really really hoping more have pipped and that one is ok. Im down to only 4 green eggs and I really wanted some of those to hatch.

Anyone else have anything going on??

AMY- Love the pic!

I set my chickens on the night of the 9th and i thought they'd hatch out tomorrow!!!! akkkkk!!! i was getting ready to go to work this morning and my hubby walked in and said 'there are three chicks in the incubator!'.... Why are they early?! We've kept the temp at 99.5 most of the time... with a couple of drops throughout (our brower tophatch can't seem to hold a perfect temp to save anything). I'm at school and my students are asking to see pictures of the babies because i can't keep my mouth shut!

I want to go home and see how many chicks have hatched!

I read somewhere on here that eggs under a broody have more of a tendancy to hatch earlier but not my girl... I haven't seen/heard anything from under her and she's right next to the incubator in our livingroom... if none of hers hatch out she should be good with adopting all the ones in the incubator right? (since she's been listening to them as much as we have...)

4:10 needs to get here already!!!!! (that's when i can leave school grounds....)

I set 36 on the 6th and 3 on the 8th or 9th.
Of the original 36 I have 22 hatched so far! Whoo Hoo!

19 have been moved to a brooder and the 3 newest and still fluffing out and getting strong in the hatcher. I have one more pipped. Sure would be nice to get 2 more hatched so I could say I had a 66% hatch rate on those 36!

Oh, and I wanted to ask. We hatched EEs and RIRs. I found the RIRs hatched earlier and got a much better hatch rate. Has anyone else noticed anything like that?
