I think we are on the same schedule, my lockdown is Sept 11th... :)

I have a homemade cabinet incubator with fan. I manually turn my eggs and wonder if this has something to do with it?
I don't know- but if all your eggs went in at the same time, they should be developing more or less the same speed unless one is incubated at a higher temp and another at a lower temp. Temperature is what determines the chicks metabolism, how fast or slow the embryo grows...

chicksooner, are they saddle shaped? That's what a lot of mine look like, but after a BYC search a lot of people hatch them without a problem...

For the most part I think that is what I would call it. Start at the top get narrower in the middle then large again on the side.

I can't hardly stand the suspense! Lockdown tomorrow, did a quick candle today. Two wiggling around, another two I've kept in just to see if they develop into something that resembles the other two. They haven't increased in size so I'm sure they aren't alive. Can't see through them real well so they'll go into lockdown unless they start to stink! My air sacs are BIG. They're odd shaped and wobbly/detached (shipped) and fill about 1/4-1/3 the egg across the top and one goes down the side too. The air sac use to be completely detached and floating but now it seems theyre affixed or have nowhere to move. The rest is black and full of wiggly chick. Is that normal? Humidity was 30-38 days 1-16. Occasionally dipped into 20's. Yesterday I bumped it up to 50 to slow/stop the air sacs from getting even bigger. Not even sure that's possible - the rest is all chick. Tomorrow is day 18 for me so I'll put it at about 70 - Is that too high? So worried I'll get something wrong and give these poor babies no chance after they've survived all that the other 13 didn't. Of course most if them never had a chance is what I found after opening them

I'm thinking and maybe I can get a suggestion. I have three chick eggs with fractures that I glued they are developing fine so far but one of them the fracture is on the air sack end. So my idea is that at hatch time I don't see pipping that I make a hole on that end just in case the chick can't get through the glue that way iT doesn't suffocate before I can help it hatch if it needs it.

LOCKDOWN here :D Just put my plugs back in so the humidity can rise, and now will be my waiting game. Go babies go!! (Ended up with 4 to go into lockdown)
