I got mine set Wednesday evening rather than Thursday morning, since the air cels looked much better than the last bunch I had gotten.... must have got a less sadistic postal carrier this time. My incubator is staying nice and steady (never had issues with it, but I always expect it to go rogue on me LOL!!) and I'll candle them and start turning them on Monday. This is my fourth hatch (first was MGB, then two settings of Seramas) so I'm a little less "OMG GOTTA TOUCH!!" :D Though waiting still kills me. Come onnnnnnnnn babies!

Hoping I can hold off touching the eggs except candling around day 7. I made a turning device (think foozball table handles), so that I can keep the lid on and keep everything pretty constant. I am not patient though so hoping day 7 comes quick! I'm such a newbie!

Okay when I added water to the well I candled the eggs, they were only on day 3, egg number 6 was added 12 hours later than the rest and was fresh from the hen.

I set four fresh eggs that sat in a cool place and two from the refrigerator for an experiment.

I saw clear veining in 4 eggs, 3 that sat out and one from the refrigerator. There does appear to be development in the other two eggs, just not as advanced.

I will check them on day 7 next.

The incubator is holding the temp perfectly at 99.5.

Ok update on egg status...I haven't received my eggs in the mail yet today but its only 8am, noticed the tracking # says its @ our post office so just waitin till noon for them to delivery them! :) so 10 Australorps on the way, & I'm going to pick up 11 in a few hrs from Marty Green, from the Central Ark Poultry website

, although this time I'm just only able to get 3 Jersey giant eggs, & 8 eggs which are a mix from a Black Jersey Giant rooster, & then barred rock hens & production red hens, so they'll definately be good egg layers!!! :)

So yea, I'll be hopefully incubating 21 eggs either probably in the morning since I should wait a bit for them to set after shipping...although I don't wanna WAIT!!!
