Day 20 here also. Not a pleasant thought for me after my last candling of my mostly frozen eggs. Most of the eggs never developed . I have just 5 at the last count and two are ? This morning one has started to pip. ON THE WRONG END!!! What else can go wrong with these poor little eggs. Bless their hearts. If I get one chick I will be lucky. Sometimes the weather and post office can be so cruel to our shipments. These were suppose to be special for my Br. Oh well there is this summer to try again and you bet I will.!!! I am stubborn like that

It is definitely March here, Wind is blowing up a storm, 40 or 50 miles an hour, temps are not so bad, high 40's and 50's some 60's. Yes Spring is on the way.

This is go round number 2 of our own eggs and we have 6 of 10 that are looking like maybe there is a chance. We had to pitch all 12 from the first go round because our 2 yr old thought she would help with the chickies and turned them up to about 123 and that's after she turned them down to 94 the day before since then I have taped a note card over the knob and the out of sight out of mind theory may be working as we just hatched 6 shipped eggs and now these seem to be hanging in there. Wish they would do something soon. Crazyhen I will say a little prayer for your chickadees.

Here's the funny part, I didn't realize it was your coop picture! Just saw it in the headline & thought it was pretty, so checked it out! Congrats. I also really liked how you added the wreath to the door and the pavers over the cement as well as joining it in with the awesome deck!
You can tell you put a lot of thought into making it fit seamlessly.

I'm sure you'll win another bid! So the bidding isn't like eBay I take it? You have to keep on top of it and keep bidding instead of putting in a max bid? I haven't bid on anything here yet. Do you buy eggs via auctions often? If yes, how's the hatch ratio? Too many questions, sorry! Have a good evening and good luck bidding!
Melinda

Melinda, I have had great luck with shipped eggs. This last hatch, I received 42 eggs, none broken, 37 went to lockdown, and 27 hatched successfully...not a bad hatch ratio for shipped eggs. I do bid on Ebay auctions and enter max bids but sometimes I get outbid when an auction ends too late at night or during the day when I am at work. Tricky...those auctions and winning them. I never realized the bidding wars that take place on Ebay for hatching eggs...lol!

Thanks for commenting on our coop. Thankfully, my hubby is handy and built everything himself...even the deck. It was trial and error but it turned out so pretty! He watches alot of DIY and HOW TO videos online....LOL!

Feel free to ask more questions any time. Can't wait to hear how your Wyandotte eggs do....I love that breed! Have a great evening....Justine
