Sex-link chicks Blue Ameraucana rooster and Barred Rock hen

As the title says I have a pure bred Blue Ameraucana rooster and a Barred Rock hen. Does sex-linked coloring with the barring gene still work with blue roosters? If so what do I look for to tell the male and female chicks apart?

Yes, that combination will result in sex linked chicks. The males will have a white spot on the head and the females will be solid colored. You will get blue or black barred males and solid blue or black females.

Thanks. Was reading about sex-linked with the barring gene and wasn't sure how it would work with the blue gene since it is an incomplete dominance gene. Thanks for the info.
