So am I right thinking that if a 4 week old bantam cochin has a comb, even if the comb is not red at all, it is a cockerel?
I have been keeping my fingers crossed that my one little cochin would be a pullet, but now I am not so sure.

The comb is all yellow, no pink. I hope that is a good sign!
I'll try to get a pick up tonight, he/she is always on the move and hard to get a good picture!

I agree with the above post. Of all the bantam Cochins I have raised the boys are very obvious at 4 weeks. It helps when you have others to compare to but it does sound like you have a girl.

This little chicken is sooo hard to get a picture of. He/she never stops moving or chirping
What do you all think?

WOOT WOOT!
That is just what I wanted to hear.
Would you all say that she will be a solid black too?
