Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Hello to all.

Ms. Clessie let me candle her eggs tonight.

She had pushed 2 aside and I found 1 in the middle of the pile that were clear. There were a few that I thought might be questionable, but decided to let her be the judge.

So out of 14, we're looking at 11 possible. This weekend she will probably go into lock down. Need to get her pen ready. Thought I'd send a photo, not a great shot, but just the same, wanted you to see. Talk to you soon.

And I went down about 20 minutes ago and we have another chick that just hatched! Still wet, but very feisty! We are up to 4 fluffies!

I went down this morning and all 4 chicks are doing good. I decided to take the cracked egg it because it looked really dry and there were no sounds ect. I decided to crack it open just to see if it would have hatched had it not gotten broke. I peeled some shell back and there was a chick but it was shrink wrapped in the mrmbrane. I was ready to dispose when the chick wiggled just the tiniest. So I brought it in and wrapped it up in damp paper towels and it is under the heat lamp. It never would have hatched on its own so maybe now it has a chance. We will see

Hang in there little chickie!
Thanks ya'll for your kind words for Ms. Clessie. It's amazing, she's a small hen, but she can spread it out. :)

It hasn't come out yet. The veins are starting to fade so it is probably close to having the yolk sac absorbed as well. It is still wiggling every little bit and opening and closing its beak. It may not come out til tomorrow.

hoping it makes it!!

with the up and down egg count I've had lately I figured I would get 2-3 Eggs today, but I already have 8.

I was given a dozen beautiful white eggs today from the family who has Pebble (and Winnie & Co.) the leghorns have been really great - one looks like a double yolk. They're still waiting for the EE to lay.
