Show me your pigeon lofts!!! I need ideas

Brand new to chickens and already thinking about pigeons, :idunnoand there seems to be no good pigeon keeping books! So show me your lofts, inside and out, and tell me about them. What it took to make, what worked, what didn't, what the loft's primary functions are, etc. Let's turn this into one of those chicken coop threads but better!

And here are a couple questions I have: How do you effectively clean the loft out? Since most of the lofts I've seen have been walk in. How do you make sure the pigeons don't fly out when you open the door? I plan on having two separate compartments, one for my breeding pairs (4-6), and one for the weaned babies I plan to sell or eat (I'm planning on Scandaroons, if I can find some).
Here's a link to my loft build.https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/pigeon-loft-build.74119/ It's small but good for about 15-20 birds. It is more suitable for rollers but my racers are doing well in it. I currently have 13 pigeons in there and 5 nests!

Shower curtain was a great idea, and I really like the trap door. While I fall into this trap sometimes too, I hate it when people spend all this money getting state of the art whatever when you can just hack something together like this and it's just as good. How big's your aviary?
Its 24x24x16. You could certainly go bigger than that if you wanted but my loft isn't very big and I don't have many birds.

LOVE it. I seriously think I wanna build a loft like that. Only problem is mine will probably have to be at least a 3rd bigger for the two separate compartments. And only 70$ and it looks THAT pretty?! Hope Boomer is doing well! That's a great name for a pigeon.

I struck lucky with ebay! We had quite alot of stuff that I could reuse to improve it. I wish it was bigger, it needs to be bigger! If I make a larger one and it would definately be one I could walk in with at least three different sections for breeding and stock birds. I'd want an avairy or flight pen on it too. Boomer has alot to answer for! We called him that because he kept coming back! He has a mate now and is currently sat on eggs. They should be hatching on Wednesday hopefully.

Woot woot! On a side note, aren't baby pigeons so UGLY? The first time I saw one I was so excited expecting to see something like a day old chick but NOPE.

I like it! Nice and simple and no-nonsense. I'm definitely considering this as a model. What kind of climate are you in, the only thing I'd be worried about is them in the cold. I've read that in a loft you need some kind of contraption for when you fly them that allows the pigeons to fly in but not come back out. But from what I've seen most people don't have this? So I guess it's really not that needed? Do you fly your birds?
i live in a pretty moderate climate. I am working on some sort of storm shutters just go cover the front when it does rain. As far as the one way door goes, it's called a trap door. I don't have one yet but will be adding one to the left side wall soon. I haven't flown my adults yet as they are new to me and probably not homed to my loft. Now that we have young they should be able to fly but I'll need it for my young birds for sure.
