Yes sir, I don't have a choice because I can't replace them at the moment but I did let them set on a new batch if eggs, one did great the other one killed all but 2 of them again, only because I caught her killing them and took the only 2 left. I pick up her eggs daily so she don't go broody anymore. If I could only hatch eggs from one hen on my place it would be hers, because of the way she is bred.

Thats a cool statement. If she was a human you'd probably marry her. Lol

I lost my best hen and all but 3 of her chicks. I didnt want to say anything because I kept hoping she'd come back. I think coyotes got her and her biddies. (about a week ago now)

this pullet on the other hand absolutely loses her mind getting close just to feed and water her. Disregard the mess. Gotta clean it in a bit. She flipped her water and feed cups.

wouldnt doubt it. Lol. Between the dogs, coyotes, hawks I have lost dozens this year.

Tons of hawks this year . Mocking birds chasing them around off the property but they managed to grab about 4-6 since the beginning of the breeding season.
