Leiper pullet managed 2 chicks out of 6 eggs. Didn't think she was gonna hatch any. Disregard this mess too. Flipped all the bowls too.

Knock on wood but I have only seen a few red tails every now and then. Some years are worse than others though.wouldnt doubt it. Lol. Between the dogs, coyotes, hawks I have lost dozens this year.
Tons of hawks this year . Mocking birds chasing them around off the property but they managed to grab about 4-6 since the beginning of the breeding season.

Ha yeah right. Every morning might as well put out a fresh gut pile and blow on a predator call then turn the chicks loose. Only the strong survivedurn natural selection

Were they left out at night too? I let mine out during the day but pen them back up (which is a project) at nightTo show how bad the predators are around here the siblings to my gifted chicks were first let out to free range next morning all but 7 dead or missing. So that leaves 19 left total. I don't know how many died but it was a good bit. I know shubin prolly thinks of me more of a warden than a keeper but that's why
I cant say anything, your survivor rate is much higher than I am doing...To show how bad the predators are around here the siblings to my gifted chicks were first let out to free range next morning all but 7 dead or missing. I put all my motherless chicks in the shed at night. In the morning I blow the predator call and turn them loose for the day. Were they left out at night too? I let mine out during the day but pen them back up (which is a project) at night
