so ive got something alot of people frown upon for their purpose before i had them. i just want to make something new and outside the box thinking and since i have multiple chicks i can do multiple things with. ive got barred rocks and RIR for selling as normal since they are going to mean they are the main purpose to keep me afloat while i experiment, but why not have say 1 pure bred brunner rh, one brh x glh and my own making. why not let someone think they might be onto something. at least it shows im eager to learn even from mistakes, and im willing to test  breeds to see if you can possible stumble across something [rpfitable when its found. how many different breeds started thickens. 1?2? now theres almost any and every variety all from people wanting to make the next great chicken. gamefowl came to america right? how many years did it take them to come up with lacys and all the other breeds in america. the lacy was from a judge here in america right? so people make their version of great birds by doing what im doing right now. Not into fighting them. i want to see if i can shimmy a little egg production into a game bird and see if i can make a bird that looks awesome like a game bird but larger and one that people will want for egg laying abilities as well.
The last thing I'm gonna say about it then I'm done.
I have gamefowl and layers. Certain breeds of layer hens fight enough to draw blood from time to time. Add in some gamefowl and you could potentially have some very aggressive hens that you may not be able to keep together.
I tie flies for fishing and I have some birds for this purpose. Many of the colors came from breeding back to gamefowl. I have one particular hen that is extremely aggressive and will pen fight my gamefowl roosters. It's a huge pain in the *ss.
Nobody here can tell you what to do with your chickens and to be honest nobody really cares. I'm just trying to save you the time, effort and money wasted. I culled every single genetic fly tying rooster I had. Why, because I could buy better quality capes and saddles for cheaper then it is to feed and care for the birds properly. The same goes for someone wanting eggs. The last thing I would want is any recent gamefowl blood in a layer flock. I bet most would agree. If not they probably don't know sh*t about chickens.

This is what I was told bates grey but he has white legs

Bates Greys, there are 2 families of them, one being the spangled and the other one is a silver back like the regular Greys. They all are green or blue legged families. The Bennett's are also green or a dark slate leg color. Bob Bennett had another family he called his top hats that were white or yellow legs, I don't remember which one.
This is a bates spangled Grey

His regular Greys looked like the Bennetts, you could probably google the Bennett top hats. The one you have there has red shoulders, I would say he is a cross.

well iam new and thats the point of asking questions. so i can learn and if people get butthurt becasue im trying to take one rooster and mix him with something thats onething but if nobdy had them then why didnt some one open their mouth when i started asking questions about brh? it would have actually turned this into a good talk instead of insulting people because they are trying to learn about something. thats just plain rude

Nobody insulted anyone. Your putting the cart before the horse. Just be patient and let the birds grow up. I bet you'll like the gamefowl just the way they are.

Hello, I have read everything that you have said and any comments on what you've said. Where is anything ever been said that is rude. You are the only one I see getting your feathers ruffled up. This is a friendly page with a handful of people that take pride in raising pure or crossed but 100% American gamefowl. In a few months you will see first hand just what dedication it takes to care for gamefowl. They will kill everything else you own if you don't keep them seperated (pullets together, stags seperated) in a pen where there is no way of any kind they're allowed to get to another. There will be only one stag or cock left if they're allowed

3/4 blueface hatch 1/4 law grey

That's a easy one, if I cross a Blueface cock to a Grey hen there will be normally a few of the pullets come looking like the Blueface side and almost always the stags will come looking like the hen. I'm not a genetics expert, but the Grey (S) gene is a dominant color. Take one of the Blueface colored pullets back to a pure Blueface cock, that will give you 3/4 Blueface and 1/4 Grey and some of the stags are going to look like a Blueface.
