The last thing I'm gonna say about it then I'm done.so ive got something alot of people frown upon for their purpose before i had them. i just want to make something new and outside the box thinking and since i have multiple chicks i can do multiple things with. ive got barred rocks and RIR for selling as normal since they are going to mean they are the main purpose to keep me afloat while i experiment, but why not have say 1 pure bred brunner rh, one brh x glh and my own making. why not let someone think they might be onto something. at least it shows im eager to learn even from mistakes, and im willing to test breeds to see if you can possible stumble across something [rpfitable when its found. how many different breeds started thickens. 1?2? now theres almost any and every variety all from people wanting to make the next great chicken. gamefowl came to america right? how many years did it take them to come up with lacys and all the other breeds in america. the lacy was from a judge here in america right? so people make their version of great birds by doing what im doing right now. Not into fighting them. i want to see if i can shimmy a little egg production into a game bird and see if i can make a bird that looks awesome like a game bird but larger and one that people will want for egg laying abilities as well.
I have gamefowl and layers. Certain breeds of layer hens fight enough to draw blood from time to time. Add in some gamefowl and you could potentially have some very aggressive hens that you may not be able to keep together.
I tie flies for fishing and I have some birds for this purpose. Many of the colors came from breeding back to gamefowl. I have one particular hen that is extremely aggressive and will pen fight my gamefowl roosters. It's a huge pain in the *ss.
Nobody here can tell you what to do with your chickens and to be honest nobody really cares. I'm just trying to save you the time, effort and money wasted. I culled every single genetic fly tying rooster I had. Why, because I could buy better quality capes and saddles for cheaper then it is to feed and care for the birds properly. The same goes for someone wanting eggs. The last thing I would want is any recent gamefowl blood in a layer flock. I bet most would agree. If not they probably don't know sh*t about chickens.
