yeah I dont doubt that... he is either stupid or brave.I think he will be the one they pull down first. No meanness, just out of play they will skin him alive. Too many young pups their. I would be slight more confident with a broody hen backed up by a rooster to put pups in their place but never tried with so many pups.
doing good.. 10 total.. forgot to answer a while back when one of you asked.Shubin are those all your puppies?
i know they would take the worms. I just said its not worth the expense or the time and extra chore of raising the mealworms yourself. I will take a steak over corn any day but it's a lot cheaper to plant a few rows of corn than raise beef. Organic of course
@centrarchidwhere do you buy those??
wow I cant believe how cheap it is in bulkPlace I get from usually is http://timberlinefresh.com/. Most not actually used for chickens, rather used to condition wild fish to breed. Fish like high fat and live plus poor hatch comes from commercial formulations I can buy. Something still not right in vitamins or fatty acids.
I see what u mean. I have a handful of birds loose that I'm not sure if they've ever eaten a pellet. I have feeders and waterers set up around the yard to keep them separated as best I can but now the grass is pretty low quality so they are venturing closer.When used as a management tool, the amounts required are minimal. It is not used as significant source of nutrition. I get the relative cost point and take that seriously. I have acreage so can skimp on feed until birds about 5 months old. During that time I have a hard time getting free-range birds excited over grains.
Foreeeeeeal! Thanks @centrarchid!wow I cant believe how cheap it is in bulk
