nope...

Individually they were hard to pair up to my American games... and I couldnt figure out what to pair them with.

The Cuban rooster being small and extremely game...
The Modern hen is huge and potentially not-game...

Both have unique colors.. I think they will balance eachother out nicely... while producing some very interesting crosses in various sizes, colors and proportions. Offspring will be selected carefully

They will do just fine. He isn't that small. In trying to develop some miniature Miners I spoke with a couple that said the female has a greater influence on the size. I didn't really believe it until I started some crosses. A 3# male over standard American Gamefowl hen produces offspring closer to standard size, but a 2# female under a standard American Gamefowl male drops the size faster.

I noticed the same thing in my fowl... which is why I dump small hen like crazy. I dont like small fowl for some reason...

This follow my basic logic that a big chicken cant fit into a small egg (from small hen)...

The small hen thing can go either way. I have a few pullets that are much larger than their mother. Some did turn out about the same size as the mother though.

Now that I think about it though even the smaller hens I've used were still laying standard sized eggs. I've got 3 smaller splash miner hens that all lay smaller eggs. All three are double spurred and are otherwise just fine. Haven't bred them though

Yeah, it is not an absolute deal. I didn't believe what I was told either until I started playing around them. The small females I have lay a relatively large egg. I have a miner hen and a miniature Spanish hen in the same pen. Most days I am hard pressed to tell the eggs apart.
