Heck whether you intended to or not it comes with the territory in here knowledge is needed from as many sources as one can get thats how we continue.

But im still dig'n a trench just incase.

Once again all 5 yrs old and starting to molt. I'm sure you know but its the first set of feathers you want. With each molt the quality drops.
 
@Bross63 No offense taken, just curious to see the pics. I have always been interested in the work of such breeders, but have never raised any. I don't know if there is any connection at all to the genetic hackle birds, but many years ago, I had the pleasure if meeting Ralph Sturgeon. When he got up there in years, my dad used to drive him to some of the get togethers. From what I remember, Dr. Sturgeon developed the bantam Barred Plymouth Rocks. He would shared pics of his fowl from his younger days and they were beautiful!

The white hen molted out her tail already but she had sickle feathers, not a complete rooster tail but close.
 
I have a couple more white hens too but they are molting bad. Gonna have to rake up some feathers.
