Looking through recent pics. Hard to grab the scope of poultry and hogs in one shot. Will try to grab more if you guys are interested. No game, but highly productive fowl.

Good deal. What kind you getting?

Hampton H300. May be a little fancy, but I have heard good things about them and I did not want another stove with a catalytic burner. The one we have have now is just an old steal firebox. Not very efficient and not much control.

Hot one for sure today. All the birds for afternoon feeding were panting. 5000 CornishX and almost 1000 ducks and a couple hundred turkey's.

Pigs were begging for water in their shit holes.

Big cool down toward end of this week. 60's for highs.

We used to raise a lot of meat birds. When the heat index would get up there, we would feed in the morning and then later in the evening. Their growth rate would slow, but it was better than any damage done by heat stress from metabolizing feed in the heat of the day. They just did not know when to quit...

Yeah. summer was tough on them, but lots of shade and sprinkler hoses did wonders. Only a 10-15% dead loss.

No, but I am very interested in them. Thats why i'm here learning from you guys.

Thinking about setting aside some room for them, but not sure I am ready.

Looking to add a flock of Dominiques and maybe hamburgs or leghorns down the road. Could add some Games instead if I feel I'm ready.
