Ha that’s gonna bleed and turn that bird pink. Big thick scissors to get it off quick would work better than Little scissors sawing at it.https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/dubbing-my-rooster-need-advices.1218621/
how big a comb is too big to dub?

Personally if that was my bird I would leave him alone. If his comb is that big and healthy I’d say he’s eating and drinking just fine.
If he’s truly having problems walking and with his neck then I guess you probably should. Technically you don’t need to cut off the whole comb. It would be easier to cut it off about half way up before it folds over. He might look a little goofy though.Ohh thank u so much you reply ..
Yes we didn't having problem with his comb but he's having he can't able to walk eat or drink I hand feed him ..seems he having problem in his neck Caz of comb that's why I'm.so worried ..

There are things you can do to lessen the bleeding too. You can take away his water for a day or so, give vitamin k. To be honest I’ve never dubbed a comb that thick at the base but dunking his head in ice cold water could help immediately after slow down the bleeding.
