I'm for sure covering two of the side's just didn't know if I should cover a third side or if I should put the gap at the top or the bottom of pen. There will be a 8"gap with what I'm using

Gap at the bottom. You don’t get cold enough to cover 3 sides.

The tarps are cheap at harbor freight like $3. I have to order mine I don't have a store close by but you may.

You’re worrying about the weather for nothing. I have never had a bird with frostbite except the tips of a big straight comb. It don’t get real cold here but occasionally it’ll drop to -10 with -20 wind chills. I’m the only idiot out of the whole yard that got frostbite.

Yea we have one about 20min up the road. I get tarps there but I like the silt fence material. 3'x50' for 15bucks. Fyi use a torch to burn it don't cut it as it will fray
