I can't imagine losing everything like that. I would lose my mind. H*ll I get mad when my pens get wet.
So much work and time goes into it all. I've lost 16 birds in one night before to a pair of foxes. They are both hanging on the wall now. Flooding and loose dogs aren't something I want to deal with.
on the flip side I couldn't imagine dealing with that much snow

Yeah but extra feed, straw and some plastic wrap keeps em alive. Ain't got many options with flooding like that. Usually the winters aren't as bad it was this last year. The snow really ain't a big deal. -10 temps with windchills hovering around -20 had me worried.

Yes sir! I want have a flood problem. I just found a hen that has fowl pox, I've never seen it before today. I have her separated away from the others, I know this crap is contagious, this girl is pure as gold too. Dammmmmm mosquitoes!!!

it can and prolly get and look real bad but I've never lost one to it. Should run its course in about 2 weeks or so. More will likely come down with it.

I just called the vet Dr. that my nephew got his greys from he said to treat the area with iodine and if there is any bumps in her mouth to put Listerine on that with a q-tip. This will stop any infection from getting in her throat. The q-tip will help remove any of the loose stuff also.
